Tell us a little about SPC?

STEPHANIE: Single Parent Coalition, “SPC” started out of my personal experience in having to navigate through the unknown obstacles of child custody. No mother wants to be separated from her children. It is a mother’s natural quality to be a nurturer, encourager, and protector. Having to face the fact that one decision, (divorce) may jeopardize that; well, it was devastating. My journey became my testimony, that testimony became my passion and I knew I wanted to help others that may find themselves in the same unforeseen circumstance so that they may be better equipped to fight. Thus SPC was born. Founded in 2000, SPC is an online membership based organization established to be a resource of information for single parent families navigating the legal process of custody battles, divorce, or separation. SPC’s mission is devoted to reaching single parent homes within the United States and abroad. Its goal is to empower single parents with information that will assist them through divorce, in managing relationships, building a successful support system, counseling, and peer-to-peer mentorship for both the parent and child. Although our primary presence is online, we believe in gathering together. Each year SPC hosts a national event that brings its members, (father’s, mother’s, and children) attorney professionals, various industry experts (health and wellness, parenting, etc.) and much, much more in one place to equip, educate, learn, and connect.

What where your childhood aspirations?

STEPHANIE: I think I’ve always enjoyed helping people, and I believe my childhood aspirations probably revolved around it. As I’ve grown, I know that my love for building people, business, and connecting good people together has always been apart of who I am.

Can you give our readers a quick answer on business advice?

STEPHANIE: You may not get everything you want but you will get everything you can negotiate!

What has been your toughest challenge in life?

STEPHANIE: My toughest challenge in life would be seeing my family endure the challenges of separation and divorce, which ultimately lead to its most difficult moment, losing custody of my children.

What are your hopes or thoughts for your future?

STEPHANIE: My dreams for the future are manifesting daily. Life is a journey and I believe everyday we are blessed to experience a small part of our future with the decisions we make today that affect our future. I dream for total and complete restoration and wholeness for my family. I’ll continue to reclaim the time taken from me with my children by endeavoring to be present in every moment of their life. I’ll choose to make forgiveness and love apart of my daily affirmations for myself, my family, and the relationships around me. I hope to see a continual effort of building successful partnerships, and for SPC to become a leading resource in the single-family community, and to personally spread this message of hope, restoration, and family throughout the United States and abroad.

Stephanie Harris At A Glance……
Stephanie Holley Harris is a single mom, entrepreneur, and community activist. Her life mission is to be a light, and empower single parents in her community, and around the world with knowledge for restoration of the single parent home mind, body, and spirit in the unfortunate event of divorce or separation. Following a divorce in 2001, Stephanie became a single mother. Like millions of others faced with similar circumstance, Stephanie bravely battled through many emotional, financial, and spiritual struggles in an effort to build the best life possible for herself and her children. Inspired by her own experiences, in 2006, Stephanie founded “Uniquely Singles”, what is know today as “Single Parent Coalition,” an online community that will serve as a resource of support for single parent and educate them single of their rights, and means of support when facing custody battles, divorce, separation. Stephanie attended Agape School of World Evangelism in Little Rock, Arkansas, and is currently an active member of World Changers Church International. She has a background in business management and has put her skills to work for numerous businesses, community outreach programs, and faith based organizations. Her passion is to help others, and is resolute in trying to discover ways to assist single parents like her. Her goal is to help single parents realize their dreams as they discover the great plans God has for them in this life. Stephanie and her children currently reside in Georgia.
